He found modern education in 1837 and since then education has been an almost compulsory aspect of our daily lives. Education has numerous benefits some of which this article will talk about below.It is known that wisdom is hidden in books, therefore for someone to be wise they have to read a lot of books and read widely. The art of capturing information from books can only be taught in schools. Someone cannot just come out of nowhere and suddenly they know how to read books. By going to school we can learn about the works of great writers like William Shakespeare, great philosophers like Plato and great scientists like Albert Einstein who injecte d a lot of wisdom in their works. This brings us to the first benefit of being educated.For someone to earn a living they must go to school and learn at least one art or a science. They can acquire the skills of education and later become teachers. They can learn the science of engineering and later become makers of mega structures. All these show that education makes an individual earn a living when they attain it. Behrman and Stacy (1997) found that most well-paying jobs require someone to have attained a certain level of academic excellence.Education makes us healthy, in this case, physical education. Most educational institutions include physical education in their curricula which shows how much the schools value the physical well-being of an individual. During physical education, we are taught physical exercises and nutrition that improve our body immunity to diseases. This makes us not visit the doctor on many occasions. It is always important for people suffering from chronic diseases like Cancer and Diabetes to exercise regularly to keep their bodies in good condition. According to Stidder and Hayes (2011), physical education improves the defense mechanism of young children.
